Victorian Cylinder Roll Desk, Secretary

Check out this sweet, small, narrow sized cylinder roll secretary.  This unusual walnut, Victorian desk is in the Eastlake style and comes apart in 2 pieces.  The top bookcase section has 2 glass doors having its original working lock and a key.  Notice the wooden grillwork on the front of the doors and the carved trim underneath.  Below is a shelf with a raised burled walnut panel in the back.  The cylinder roll has a recessed burled walnut panel with its ebonized and brass pulls and its original working lock and cast brass key escutcheon.  Inside is a pullout, green leather writing surface.  There are 2 small drawers and 5 small cubbies for storage.  Below are 4 drawers with applied burled walnut panels, original cast brass pulls and working locks.  The top drawer is missing its cast brass key escutcheon.  The desk rests on casters.  The finish is original and in excellent condition, having a deep, rich color and patina.
