Mahogany Aesthetic Sideboard, Server, Victorian

Check out this uniquely designed solid mahogany sideboard or server.  Its quality of construction and detailing is wonderful.  The top shelf stands 64″ tall and has a curvaceous side and back gallery with finely turned delicate posts and boldly turned finials on the 2 back corners.  Below is the original shapely beveled mirror.  The top shelf is supported by 2 intricately turned columns resting on a deep serving platform.  Now check out the open storage space below with the round window effect side openings surrounded with complicated incised carvings.  The front has an oblong framed opening highlighted with more delicate turned spindles.  Wait, there is more!  Now check out the 2 doors below with their horseshoe shaped beveled glass with incised carved design.  These round and oval shaped openings are an architectural delight!  Between the doors are 4 hand-dovetailed drawers and additional 2 larger drawers along the base.  All the door and drawers have their original solid cast brass pulls and working locks.  The brass key escutcheons are replacements.  The base ends of the cabinet each have 2 recessed panels.  What a great piece of furniture to both serve and display your silver or china.  The finish is original and in excellent condition.  What a statement this piece will make in any home.
