The back crest is boldly carved with raised and recessed burled walnut panels. Even the central cartouche has applied burled walnut. The cabinet has its original shaped marble top, which is in excellent condition. Below is a hand-dovetailed drawer with a raised burled walnut panel and its original brass and ebnonized pulls. Notice the carved quarter columns in the front. The large central door has a recessed arched panel occupied by a raised burled walnut panel with dramatic scrolling incised carvings. The door is missing its original lock. Inside are shelves. This cabinet retains its original finish, which is in excellent condition. The small size and storage capability make this piece adaptable throughout the house, whether it be for the hall, dining room or living room.
